Trivia / Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie

Go To

  • Acting for Two: In Viz Media's English dub, Robbie Daymond voices Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Mask and Orangeat.
  • Amateur Cast: In the Polish dub, Badiane and Diana were voiced by Agnieszka Wiśniewska and Marta Czarkowska, who hadn't have typical acting training at that time (unlike most of people working as voice actors in the Polish dubbing industry).
  • Children Voicing Children: In the Polish dub, Perle was voiced by then 12-year-old Michał Rosiński, best known for voicing Miguel in the dub of Coco.
  • Directed by Cast Member: Unlike with the previous films, the Polish dub was directed by Dariusz Kosmowski, who also played Banane.
  • The Other Darrin: In the Polish dub, Anna Kędziora, who voiced Setsuna Meio/Sailor Pluto in Sailor Moon S: The Movie, was replaced by Afrodyta Weselak.
  • Real-Life Relative: In the Polish dub, one of the minor child characters was voiced by Jan Owczarz, son of Katarzyna Owczarz, who played Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter.
  • What Could Have Been: One of original director Kunihiko Ikuhara's concepts for this film would have involved Haruka/Sailor Uranus stealing a talisman from the other Sailor Guardians to reawaken Sailor Neptune, who was in a 1,000-year sleep at a place called the End of the World. The climax was a rodeo scene with Sailor Moon on White Pegasus chasing Sailor Uranus on Black Pegasus. However, the concept was scrapped after Ikuhara and producer Iriya Azuma left the project, but would later be reworked into Ikuhara's Revolutionary Girl Utena.
  • You Sound Familiar:
    • In Pioneer's English dub, Kirsten Bishop (Badiane), Julie Lemieux (Perle), Robert Tinkler (Poupelin), Tony Daniels (Banane) and Damon D'Oliveira (Orangeat) played recurring characters in the TV series.
    • In Viz's dub, Banane is voiced by Ben Diskin, who previously dubbed Umino in the TV series and Fiore in the R film.
