  • Approval of God: Kate Cary, one of the authors of Warrior Cats has seen this fanime and linked fans to it on her blog.
  • Colbert Bump: The Truelight song being used as the opening is the reason why many people know about D.N.Angel.
  • Creator Backlash: Aluri isn't a fan of the scene where Longtail smacks aside Spottedleaf, but she can't do anything about it due to being a colorist at that time.
  • Newbie Boom: The Warriors franchise saw an noticeable surge in fans during The New '10s, with many of them citing this series as their introduction.
  • Schedule Slip: Episode 4 was planned to be released in summer 2015. So far there haven't been any updates on the series (aside from a reupload of Episode 3 Part 2 in 2017). As of 2022, there has been nothing but radio silence from the main channel.
  • Troubled Production: In a 2021 review video of the series, Aluri finally explains in a comment the reasons behind the lack of content was due to the main animators (Yuji, Zing and Rosi) leaving the project after Episode 2's debut with no backup animators left on the team. Wanton and Aluri were the ones in charge because they were the only ones left despite being mainly colorists at that time. Not helping matters was that the original files for Episode 3 were lost in a computer crash. The only thing they could do was to redo Episode 3 with a few keyframes of their own as they didn't want the work that is already finished by Yuji to go to waste. Not helping was that both of them were still teenagers in school at that time, meaning that real life had to come first.
