- Artist Disillusionment: They eventually grew tired of making Garry's Mod machinimas and of their own fanbase, leaving YouTube for a few months before coming back making some videos in Source Filmmaker, only to seemingly definitively go off the radars in late 2013.
- Follow the Leader: There are hundreds and hundreds of people on YouTube who use Garry's Mod to make these sorts of videos. This article focuses mainly on RubberFruit because while they definitely aren't the first such G-Modder, they are easily the most prominent as he inadvertently starts a minor fad among their fans almost every time they upload a new video.
- Reclusive Artist: Besides their videos, there are no other known traces of them on the internet for a while, their real identity is completely unknown, they've been inactive on YouTube since they posted their last video in October 2013 and left their original Steam group. Fortunately, they would continue their internet activity under the name FreshSalad.
- Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: Unfortunately, there is a part of their fanbase that will spam any YouTube video containing a videogame song featured in their videos. RubberFruit hates this and has explicitly told their fans to stop doing this, but some still do so. "Puzzle in the Caves" and "Demon Resident Mine Cart" get this far worse than any other song due to Painis Cupcake. Allegedly, the reason RubberFruit left YouTube was because they were sick of their subscribers. When they returned, this is most likely the reason they don't list their used songs in the description anymore, but this didn't stop those who already knew a used song, or those who checked the comment sections.
- Word of God: RubberFruit not only did not make their videos on drugs, but they've explicitly said in the past that they find the idea that they did upsetting and for fans to not assume so.
