• Disabled Character, Disabled Actor: Animal actor, at least. The episode "Three Legs Good" features a three-legged dog played by Holly, the three-legged dog.
• Troubled Production: Due to the unpredictable weather in Britain, the series suffered from this, with a significant focus on outside shooting being the reason. Several episodes were shot in Europe, so the series ended sooner than fans wanted.
• What Could Have Been: Racquet Espanol and Enter Two Gardeners were to be broadcasted with the rest of the series; however, due to the axing, they were screened a year later.
  • There were going to be two more episodes set in Portugal to be the start of a Fourth Series. Still, due to changes in the production staff, there were delays, and by the time the problems were sorted, several of the cast had moved on to other projects leaving the planned Fourth Series Cancelled.
• You Might Remember Me from...: The title characters; Barbara Good and, depending on your preference, Ma Larkin^note from The Darling Buds of May, Miss Trunchbull, Aunt Marge, or Sister Evangelina, respectively.
