- B-Team Sequel: The game is a licensed installment developed by Layup Co., Ltd. instead of Capcom.
- Exiled from Continuity: Rockman Shadow and his Robot Masters have never reappeared in the series or been acknowledged by Capcom. Ian Flynn has stated that Capcom forbade him from using the characters in the Mega Man (Archie Comics) comics for unknown reasons, implicitly confirming an executive embargo on them. (He nevertheless gave the game some lawyer-friendly cameos by employing Quint as a stand-in for Rockman Shadow in issue #20 ("No more will I simply be Mega Man's shadow!") and tossing in Compass Man's silhouette in the finale of Sonic the Hedgehog/Mega Man: Worlds Collide.)
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: The game has never been rereleased, so you'll either have to import a WonderSwan or download it to play it through emulation.
- No Export for You: Since the WonderSwan was only released in Japan, the game never saw a release overseas.
