- Follow the Leader: Was a part of a wave of a number of British-themed costume drama/adventure films that came out after the success of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, most of which centered around gallant/roguish heroes against the corrupt powers that be seeking to oppress them. In tone and scope however, this one rides the line between swashbuckler and full-blown historical epic. Notably this movie's sister film Braveheart would revive interest more fully in the latter.
