- Actor-Shared Background: Given the location of the Florida keys, you might expect the Portuguese actor Joaquim de Almeida to once again be passing as a Latin American. However, his daughter is played by Daniela Melchior, who is also Portuguese, so the characters apparently really are supposed to be Portuguese.
- Creator Backlash: Doug Liman was, to put it lightly, not happy to find out that Amazon was going to put the film on their streaming service instead of the theatrical release he'd reportedly been promised, so much so that he wrote an op-ed about it
and vowed to not attend the film's SXSW premiere. Amazon did later claim that Liman was perfectly aware that the film would be streaming-only and had actually agreed to it over a theatrical release because he'd been offered a bigger budget; it's not clear which side is telling the truth or not. Liman changed his mind and actually attended the SXSW premiere. - Underage Casting: Daniela Melchior was 26 when playing an ER doctor. Unless Ellie skipped a few years of schooling, she'd be starting her residency training.
