• Box Office Bomb: Budget, $38 million. Box office, $635,096. It's an understandable gross considering the film topped out at 60 theaters. Fortunately for Ang Lee and writer James Schamus, their next collaboration would have much better reception.
• Fake American: Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Simon Baker, who are Irish and Australian respectively.
  • Also, Tom Wilkinson, who plays Jewel's father, is British.
• What Could Have Been: Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio turned down the lead role.
