- Adored by the Network: It was loved by Cartoon Network for the first week or so of it's airing, but after overwhelming negative reaction and backlash to it's mere existence by the many avid Cartoon Network fans who wanted nothing to do with a show like Redakai, even being Adored by the Network could not stop CN from smearing it off the face of the earth.
- Cash-Cow Franchise: It was intended to be one if the huge amounts of promotions and merchandise are any indication. It was likely being groomed as the successor to Bakugan, but the lackluster TV show and high prices dashed it against the rocks.
- Channel Hop: In Canada, the series debuted on YTV, but would later air on Teletoon instead.
- Follow the Leader: It lists one of its biggest selling points as being like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Bakugan.
- What Could Have Been: Originally, Ky was supposed to be named Max.
