Trivia / Red Dwarf Season XI "Can of Worms"

• Deleted Scene:
  • A slightly lengthier and different shoot of the opening scene to the episode aboard Starbug. The most notable difference is that the "Meta-Station" is referred to as the "Medi-Station". There is also some more of an explanation as to how the Personality Tuck Machine functions.
  • After Lister states that they plan to go the long way around, Rimmer jokes that they are taking the "Virgin Highway". "Avoid Route 69". Annoyed, Cat once again denies that he is a virgin angrily, and shows off an engagement ring on his hand, asking Rimmer where he thinks he could have got it from. Rimmer asks if Cat proposed to his hand, or if his hand proposed to him. This is enough for even Kryten to laugh, although Lister tells the others to knock it off.
  • In the Science Room aboard Red Dwarf, as the Cat is being examined, Kryten says that he plans to put a probe on Cat's stomach. Cat complains at its coldness, and says that it better not leave a mark since he fears that it could ruin his whole body. Rimmer says that Cat has seen nothing yet.
• Prop Recycling: This is not the first time that the Mercenoid costume has been used in media. The full costume, in particular, was also used for the Ultramancer in the 2013 Doctor Who episode "The Rings of Akhaten".
