• Acting for Two: Chris Barrie provides the voice of the man in the film that Lister watches.
• Cast the Runner-Up: Craig Ferguson and Lee Cornes had both auditioned for Lister and Rimmer.
• Uncredited Role: The actor who played the Mayor of Warsaw went uncredited, possibly because he was in heavy garb and make-up, and exploded right after appearing.
• What Could Have Been: This episode would have originally been the finale of the first series, and would have ended with Lister successfully resurrecting Kochanski as a hologram. When the show's first recording dates were clobbered by an electrician's strike, Grant and Naylor looked at the scripts again and decided that the originally intended second episode, "Bodysnatcher", was the weakest of the lot and dropped it. "Me2" was the replacement, and would also serve as the finale, with this episode's ending being changed as a result.
