Trivia / Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus

Go To

  • Creator Backlash: A minor example. TJ Fixman, the writer of this game, has expressed that Cronk and Zephyr's death scene was a relative disservice to the characters, stating his original idea would've been their parts being scattered with Ratchet working to reassemble them, rather than how they were Killed Off for Real in the final product.
  • Development Gag: The trophy for completing all of the game's Netherverse segments is titled "Into the Nether Region," which was the original title for the game.
    • The six skill points you can unlock for completing the Netherverse segments in a fast enough time are all called "Clock Blockers." This was the original intended title for A Crack in Time before Executive Meddling forced them to change it.
  • Pre-Order Bonus: Players who pre-ordered would receive the Volcanox Armor, which gives you a 5% damage reduction. It was never released post-launch to players who didn't pre-order.
  • The Other Darrin: Ali Hillis replaces Tara Strong as the voice of Talwyn Apogee here.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Insomniac initially intended on calling the game Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nether Regions.
    • A Play Station Vita version of the game was planned, but was ultimately cancelled. While an official reason was never given as to why, it's widely assumed that the troubled development and poor reception of the Vita port of Full Frontal Assault is what got the Nexus port scrapped. Remnants can be seen with the Cloud Save option within the game, the trophy list including a "PSVita" tag, and the game containing an empty "Bonus" option in the XMB menu.
    • As revealed during an Insomniac Games livestream, the game was also at one point planned on being ported to the PlayStation 4. Unfortunately the game's engine proved to be incompatible with the console, so it was left to be a PS3 exclusive.
