- Stillborn Franchise: after you complete the game, it tells you to look out for Puggsy Part II, "coming soon". To this day, there is still only one Puggsy game.
- What Could Have Been: a SNES version of Puggsy was planned, but never came to fruition due to poor sales of the Sega console versions. Some of the SNES tracks were used in the Sega CD version, as confirmed by the game's programmer Jon Burton on his YouTube channel. [1]
- An Amiga port was made of Puggsy, though handled by a separate team.
