Trivia / Promised Land (1996)

• California Doubling: Despite the "road trip" premise of the show, most episodes were filmed in Utah, even the final season which was primarily set in Denver.
• Distanced from Current Events: The episode "A Day In The Life", which depicted a hostage situation at the kids school (where Claire also worked as a guidance counselor) was due to air what ended up being two days after the Columbine incident. It was immediately pulled from the schedule.
• The Other Darrin: Peg Phillips was replaced by Celeste Holm as Hattie Greene after the pilot episode.
