Trivia / Problem Children are Coming from Another World, aren't they?

  • Star-Making Role: Asuka Kudo is the first major voice-acting role for Sarah Emi Bridcutt.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Author Taro Tatsunoko initially wanted the story to take place in a completely original universe, including main characters hailing from it. However, being his first published novel, he thought the idea wouldn't sell well from a newcomer in the light novel business of the time, so he instead employed characters who came from the real world. In order to make it more interesting, he made them come from the past, the present and the future.
    • Tatsunoko also wanted to aim for a more minimalist story, which is apparently the reason for the story's world being named "Little Garden". However, the staff of the Kadokawa Sneaker Light Novel Contest (which he had won in 2009 with the work EQUATIONS, published in 2017 as Million Clown) recommended him to add more worldbuilding, so he expanded it with all sorts of gods, monsters and elements that he found in a research binge.
    • In an uniquely bizarre case, the story's title Problem Children Are Coming from Another World, Aren't They? was actually the subtitle of another work submitted to the Kadokawa contest. It was Kadokawa's editor who liked it and decided to slap it on this work as the main title. Tatsunoko was understandably shocked at this, but he eventually conceded on the grounds it would at least be more distinctive than the original title.
