• Screwed by the Lawyers: Axanar's 2015 yearly report incriminated producer Alec Peters for using funds donated to the project to pay himself a $38,000 salary and to fund the establishment of an unrelated movie studio. CBS Corporation promptly filed a lawsuit. Ultimately, this lead to CBS and Paramount setting up guidelines that may end up killing the movie's production — and all future fan-made episodes and films.
• What Could Have Been: In "Whom Gods Destroy", Garth was originally played by Czech-American actor/playwright Steve Ihnat, who died of a sudden heart attack three years later. Here, Alec Peters plays Garth, not bothering with Ihnat's classically trained elocution (common among actors of his generation, which is why they seem to sound British) but otherwise portraying the quiet reserve Ihnat showed when Garth regained his sanity.
