Trivia / Power Rangers Clockwork

Go To

  • Hypothetical Casting: Continuing the trend from Super Sentai vs. Power Rangers: The Liveblog, the writer fancasts several characters, including a recast.
    • Ari!Carter Grayson—the Red Lightspeed Ranger in Arika's world—has his original actor, Sean Cw Johnson, playing him in flashbacks in Super Sentai vs. Power Rangers IV. Starting in Power Rangers Clockwork, his new hypothetical actor would be Drew Gulak. In-universe, the recast is justified because Carter's original body is in no condition for a resurrection, and Akira decides to create a new body that closely matches Arika's regular combat style.
    • Brynja's hypothetical actress would be Heather Masters, best known as Circus Baby in Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location.
    • Asgaut's hypothetical actor would be Robin Atkin Downes.
    • Aricin's hypothetical actor would be Buddy Murphy.
  • Playing Against Type: Before Power Rangers Clockwork, the writer Arcadiarika had done liveblogs with a comedic slant; and her stories within the liveblogs, such as the Super Sentai vs. Power Rangers: The Liveblog series, mostly balanced between comedy and drama. Not only is Power Rangers Clockwork strictly a story that doesn't have a liveblog attached to it, it's also a serious work with horror elements and little to no comedy at all. Even the Author's Notes at the beginning state that it's something completely different from her usual works.
  • Schedule Slip: Like most of Arcadiarika's works, the chapters had long pauses in between, part of it being real-life happenings, and another part caused by writer's block. The entire story was later finished in September 2019, with the chapters starting from Chapter 4 coming out every few days. Ironically, having a writer's block in Super Sentai vs. Power Rangers IV was why the fanfic was made in the first place.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The fanfic was actually first thought as a real person fic had Kyuranger been adapted, with a liveblog of Clockwork also being featured. When it was revealed that Go-Busters would be adapted instead, it was scrapped.
    • Ari!Carter Grayson would have originally received the Titanium Morpher at the end of the story. He would have received it because he had a brush with death, ultimately similar to how he got the Zekar Crystal in the final draft. It was changed to the Crystal due to the writer wanting to use an unused concept: that of the Beast-Demon Hunter Zeek armor from Clash! The New Super Warrior.
