• Acting for Two:
  • Ellen Kennedy voices Grandma Penelope and GenI.
  • Maryke Hendrikse voices Mom and Melody.
• Channel Hop: The show moved to Netflix from season two onwards.
• Crossdressing Voices: Andre Anderson is voiced by Lila's voice actress, Shannon Chan-Kent.
• Dawson Casting: Played straight with Polly, her friends, and those in her age group, but averted with many young kids, such as her younger brother.
• Edited for Syndication: The special Sparkle Cove Adventure was split into 6 parts and added to Season 5.
• He Also Did: Shea Fontana, the executive story editor, has worked on DC Super Hero Girls, Sushi Pack, Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz, Doc McStuffins, and The 7D.
• Invisible Advertising: Season 5 was released on Prime Video in 2023 with no announcement.
• Network to the Rescue: Before the move to Netflix, the show was on indefinite hiatus and presumed cancelled.
• The Other Darrin: Cherlenda Estrada replaces Kazumi Evans as Shani in Season 3 because of the latter stepping down from the role due to the George Floyd protests.
• Rereleased for Free: Season 1 is available on the official Polly Pocket YouTube channel. Seasons 2-4, being Netflix exclusives, only get assorted clips.
• Screwed by the Network: The show wasn't aired in the US until a whole year after its debut, and the second season didn't air until over two years after the end of the first season.
• What Could Have Been: The first season was originally envisioned in a Two Shorts format. The second season goes back to that format.
