• Ascended Fan Nickname: Shadows of Almia was the first time an official video game used the Fan Nickname "Eeveelution".
• Blooper: In Shadows of Almia, during the tutorial for charging up the Fine Styler, the Bidoof being captured uses the cry of a Bibarel.
• B-Team Sequel: The first game was developed jointly by HAL Laboratory and Creatures Inc., while the sequels were made by Creatures alone.
• Colbert Bump: The Pokémon Ranger series received a rise in popularity after YouTuber JaidenAnimations made an animated episode detailing her playthrough of Shadows of Almia. One song from the game's soundtrack, the battle theme for Team Dim Sun's grunts, became a meme along with Jaiden's dance animation accompanying it as seen in her video.
