Trivia / Planes: Fire & Rescue

Go To

  • Actor Allusion: Nick Loopin' Lopez, the helicopter actor in in-universe's TV show, CHoPs, is voiced by Erik Estrada who starred in CHiPs.
  • Licensed Game: A Wii U version and a Nintendo 3DS version, as well as a legacy version for the Wii. A legacy version for the Nintendo DS was advertised and had a mockup cover made, but it was cancelled before it even got rated by the ESRB (had it been released, it likely would've been rated E). The DS version did get a PEGI (European) rating of 7 and up, but it was still not released in the territory (as evidenced by the "PROVISIONAL" text in the bottom left).
  • Real-Life Relative: The couple of old RVs, Harvey and Winnie, are voiced by real-life couple, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara (it was the latter's final role).
  • Spoiled by the Merchandise: Several toys and promotional art depict Dusty in his firefighter paint job, which he doesn't receive until the finale of the film.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Blade Ranger was originally supposed to have brown eyes, but were changed to icy blue to match those of his voice actor, Ed Harris.
    • Artwork for Fire and Rescue showed that El Chupacabra was going to appear. In this storyboarded scene, he was seen overhearing Cad's argument with Maru. Why he was cut from the final product (and what he would have done in the film) is still unknown.
    • Nick Loopin' Lopez and Windlifter were originally given the respective names of Loopin' Lance Gyro and Vincent.
