Trivia / Pixel Chix

Go To

  • Acting for Two: All of the characters (sans Miss Sporty and the male characters) are voiced by Tara Strong
  • Unintentionally Unwinnable: There appears to be a glitch in the mall's "bad hair day" minigame, as no matter how you do, the girls will never be satisfied.
Blonde girl: "This is horrible!"
  • What Could Have Been: Pixel Chix were first shown at the New York Toy Fair of 2005. Several images from the event show unused sprites.
    • The logo originally used a more "digital" looking font.
    • Sprites on the packaging show facial expressions that are never used in the game.
      • The big smile on the mansion's packaging was reused later in Fab Life City.
    • A sprite on the package, as well as a display, shows Pixel what appears to be a work outfit.
    • The boombox and fish had different designs.
    • The instruction manual for the released version of the house mistaking says to get your Pixel pal to go to a destination, you must press the go out button and keep pressing it until the girl is pointing at what you want her to do outside. In actuality, you have to change her outfit to have her go different places. This seems to be a development leftover. The error is still present in the 2-Story House manual.
    • In Fun Mode for the Mansion style house, the game of fetch with the puppy contains an animation glitch. One of the ball throwing animations causes the light-haired Gal to briefly become the black-haired Gal, before returning back to normal.
    • The Road Trippin' Cars' are one of the toys in which the manual acknowledges that the Gal's hair color may not always be consistent during certain stages of gameplay.
  • Jeffrey Levine was responsible for the Product Design, Game Design, UI Design, and Character Design of Pixel Chix.
