• Acting for Two: David Jason voices Skipper, Pasty, Mr. Morris and Number Three, one of the Mice Pirates.
  • Likewise, Emma Tate voices Alba, Madame Eclair, Mrs. Finn, Mrs. Twitcher and Trelawny, another one of the Mice Pirates.
  • Also, Teresa Gallagher voices Pip, Mrs. Snail, Aubrey Snail and Meryl the Mermaid.
  • Lastly, Jimmy Hibbert plays Hopper, Alan, Shelvis the Hermit Crab, Jonesy the Seal, Mr. Snail, and Captain Bilge, another one of the Mice Pirates.
• Saved from Development Hell: The show was first conceived in 2011, but didn't see the lights of day until 2014, three years later.
• What Could Have Been: According to official Facebook posts, Skipper was the first character designed and was originally going to be grey with a black patch on one eye when the concept was first pitched in 2011. During development, however, the character designs were radically changed, and after Pip was created, the focus was shifted to him and Skipper became a supporting main character instead.
  • Likewise, the show was originally going to be called The Salties. It was rechristened Salty Cove when the studio started looking for investors, then to just Pip! after the focus was switched from Skipper to Pip, and finally to it's existing form of Pip Ahoy! shortly before the show entered production.
