- All-Star Cast:
- For the Japanese cast: Hikaru Midorikawa, Rie Tanaka, Megumi Ogata, Mamiko Noto, Maaya Sakamoto, Miyuki Sawashiro, Daisuke Namikawa, Yui Horie, Ami Koshimizu, Tomokazu Seki, Kappei Yamaguchi, Rie Kugimiya, Romi Park, Ayana Taketatsu, Kenichi Suzumura and Kana Hanazawa.
- English Cast: Yuri Lowenthal, Vic Mignogna, Michelle Ruff, Tara Platt, Liam O'Brien, Cindy Robinson, Wendee Lee, Karen Strassman, Bryce Papenbrook, Johnny Yong Bosch, Erin Fitzgerald, Amanda Winn-Lee, Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Sam Riegel, Valerie Arem, Eden Riegel, Marisha Ray, Todd Haberkorn and Patrick Seitz.
- Dummied Out:
- Assets for a Shadow type of Marie were found, but no actual Shadow Marie is playable.
- There are unused voice clips of the announcer calling out "Persona 5 Hero", along with "Mephistopheles" in a section of unused Persona callouts, along with a video of the protagonist riding into Tokyo from the same game. It's unclear whether he was intended for the base roster or later DLC, but these clips are likely from very early in development — the P5 artbook mentions that Mephistopheles was one of the earliest concepts for the P5 Hero's Persona, but the first PV trailer for Persona 5, released just a few months after Ultimax's home release, would confirm Arsene as his Persona. Had this pushed through, Ultimax would have marked the first playable appearance of the character eventually more well-known under his Phantom Thief moniker, Joker.
- Feelies: People who pre-ordered Ultimax got a Teddie boxing balloon and eleven Tarot cards depicting the Major Arcana as they look in the series.
- Real-Life Relative:
- Early on in the story, Teddie asks Yosuke if he thinks Mitsuru is hot and Yosuke does admit to finding her attractive, though out of his league. Once again, Yuri Lowenthal (Yosuke) and Tara Platt (Mitsuru AND Elizabeth) are married in real life so this comes off as even funnier for people aware of this.
- Similarly, Laura Bailey (Rise) and Travis Willingham (Theodore) are married in real life, whilst Matthew Mercer (Kanji) and Marisha Ray (Margaret) would get married a few years after the release of Ultimax.
- Sam Riegel (Teddie) and Eden Riegel (Marie) are siblings in real life.
- Maaya Sakamoto (Aigis) has finally dragged her husband Kenichi Suzumura (Sho) into the Persona series.
- Role Reprise:
- Japanese: Mitsuaki Madono as Tohru Adachi from Persona 4; Kana Hanazawa as Marie from Persona 4: The Golden; Megumi Toyoguchi, Kosuke Toriumi, and Megumi Ogata as Yukari Takeba, Junpei Iori, and Ken Amada, respectively, from Persona 3.
- English: Johnny Yong Bosch as Yu Narukami and Tohru Adachi from Persona 4 (though using a somewhat higher voice similar to that in Persona 4: The Animation for Adachi); Eden Riegel as Marie from Persona 4 Golden; Michelle Ruff and Vic Mignogna as Yukari Takeba and Junpei Iori, respectively, from Persona 3.
- The Other Darrin: In addition to the cast members from the original Arena
- Anna Graves was replaced for Ultimax and Q with that of voice director Valerie Arem as the English voice of Naoto.
- Marisha Ray took over the role of Margaret in Ultimax and Q as Michelle Ann Dunphy was unavailable and was with her family at the time the English track was being recorded.
- Kanji's English voice has also been replaced for Ultimax and Q, going from Troy Baker to Matthew Mercer (his voice actor starting with Episode 14 of The Animation adaptation).
- In addition to her role as Labrys, Cindy Robinson replaces Ken's VA for the role.
- In addition to returning as Junpei Iori, Vic Mignogna replaces Dan Woren as Igor.
- Woren is also replaced as Shuji Ikutsuki by JB Blanc, who returns as Ryotaro Dojima.
- Word of God: The eighth episode of the Persona Stalker Club mentions that the cross necklace Junpei wears was given to him by Chidori, thus confirming her survival from the rereleases of Persona 3 to be canonical.
