- Acclaimed Flop: While the game was received well alongside Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight in Japan, both of them had the weakest sales in the entire series (they even disappeared from the charts one week after their debut), making them the worst selling games in the franchise.
- Acting for Two: Much like the original game, Mitsuru and Elizabeth are both voiced by Tara Platt.
- Dummied Out: Placeholder images in the game imply that Koromaru was meant to be playable. Adding to this is that there are unused voice clips of everyone except Elizabeth, Theodore, Labrys and Margaret cheering him on. His only appearance in-game is during the music video for "Voice" (Atlus Tsuchiya Remix).
- Prop Recycling:
- The models from Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth are used in the music video for "Voice" (ATLUS Tsuchiya Remix).
- The opening movies from the PSP remakes of Persona and the Persona 2 duology, Persona 3, Persona 3 FES, Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4, Persona 4 Golden, Persona 4: Arena, Persona 4: Arena Ultimax, and Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth are all available as Downloadable Content, whilst the opening movie of this game is included in the base game’s track list.
- The movies that play behind the end credits from Persona 3, and Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth are available as Downloadable Content, whilst the end credits to this game and The Answer from Persona 3 FES are part of the base game's track list.
- Several of the songs are just directly lifted from previous entries in the franchise.
- From Persona 3: "Mass Destruction" (P3 + P3F/P3P ver.), "Burn My Dread", "Burn My Dread -Last Battle-", "When the Moon Reaches for the Stars", "Battle Hymn of the Soul"
- From Persona 3 Portable: "Soul Phrase"
- From Persona 3: The Movie: "More Than One Heart", "Fate is in Our Hands"
- From Persona 4: Arena Ultimax: "Today"
- Screwed by the Network: In Japan and the United States, several Downloadable Content costumes and songs are free to download, and are all sold individually. In Europe, all of the DLC was packaged together into various packs, with the only exceptions being the additional characters.
- Swan Song: Retroactively, with Persona 3 Reload replacing the English voice actors for the S.E.E.S. members, this game marked the final time several of them had voiced these characters.
- What Could Have Been: The Persona Dancing P3D & P5D Soundtrack Advanced CD soundtrack features extended edits of several of the new remixes produced for the game, indicating that the relevant dances were originally going to be longer than those in the final release.
