• Word of God: StarSword and Gulberat both had things to say in the discussion thread.
  • Gulberat confirmed that Berat is fully aware of why the Bajorans are angry, and explained that he was having traumatic flashbacks to the execution of his father during a 2369 power struggle in the Central Command. Also, something that didn't make it into the fic was that the codename Operation Whimsical Targ translated poorly into Cardassian, with "whimsical" becoming "slapstick" or "silly".
  • StarSword stated that Eleya had the job of international coordinator in "Past Continuous" because she's former Militia and knows how they work, she's a highly decorated Starfleet officer, and the Klingons respect her because she's good at killing them. He also remarked on Eleya's political views: she doesn't want Bajor to outright leave the Federation, but she does want them to maintain cultural autonomy, and she was raised by an ex-Resistance father and got her initial training and indoctrination in a military whose mission statement is that Bajor must never again come under foreign occupation.
