- Dueling Games: Alongside Planet Coaster, this game was one with RollerCoaster Tycoon World. Both Parkitect and Planet Coaster were made in the same vein as earlier RCT games (1 and 2 for the former, 3 for the latter), and World had the name-recognition behind it. World is on the receiving end of a Curb-Stomp Battle, with both Parkitect and Coaster getting much better reception (90% and 87% positive reviews on Steam, compared with World having only 25% of its user reviews being positive).
- Official Fan-Submitted Content: Most pre-made coasters are made by players. In fact, developers were holding monthly contests to gather good coasters when this game was in early access.
