• Creator Backlash: Neither of the stars liked this movie. Douglas Fairbanks pronounced the film "awful" in an interview. Bette Davis complained about it to Warner Brothers brass, as she wanted better parts, which she finally got the next year with Of Human Bondage. Reportedly Davis ranked this film "dead last" amongst the many movies she made over seventeen years with Warner Brothers. A clip of Parachute Jumper was used in Whatever Happened To Baby Jane to show how "Baby Jane" Hudson's career as a grown-up actress was a failure.
