Trivia / Panchiko

Go To

  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L is possibly one of the most extreme examples of a work ultimately falling into the "rescued" category, going from an almost completely undocumented album that only existed through one corrupted copy on the internet, to getting a fully restored re-release on both digital and physical formats and the band reuniting almost 20 years later after the fact.
  • What Could Have Been: In 2000, Panchiko sent D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L to several British indie labels looking for a record deal. The only one who replied was Fierce Panda, a well regarded label who had issued Coldplay's debut single the previous year. While owner Simon Williams made a positive comments about the EP in his personal notes and the label showed some interest, no deal came through.
