• Artist Disillusionment: According to the man himself, the gimmick of Orange Cassidy came by as a result of a down period in his career during where he felt he didn't get the opportunities and respect he deserved despite his efforts and was considering quitting wrestling. As a result of this period, he came up with the idea of a wrestler who puts zero effort as a sort of deliberate middle finger. The rest is history.
• Breakup Breakout: The biggest breakout star of The Colony. Drew Gulak (Soldier Ant) has carved out a career as a midcarder on the WWE main roster, while Tracy Williams (Silver Ant) has remained on the indies.
• Corpsing: During a Best Friends promo where Trent? started rambling about popping out of a crane game machine, Orange began laughing and had to turn away and walk off camera.
• Playing Against Type: Went from playing the Fire Ant, the Energetic Insectoid Grappler, to playing the slothful Orange Cassidy. For that matter, his transition from playing hardcore wrestler JC Ryder to squeaky clean tecnico luchador Fire Ant.
• Real Song Theme Tune:
  • Used "Jane" by Jefferson Starship in the indies.
  • After failing to officially license "Jane", he began using "Where Is My Mind?" by The Pixies in AEW. Eventually he was able to start using "Jane" at the end of June 2022.
• Screwed by the Lawyers: According to Tony Khan, he tried to license "Jane" so he could continue using it as his theme song in AEW, but couldn't contact the band or their representatives. He eventually managed to get it by the 29th of June episode of Dynamite in 2022.
• What Could Have Been: He was originally booked to face Minoru Suzuki at GCW's Joey Janela's Spring Break PPV. Obviously, the COVID-19 Pandemic prevented that from happening.
