• What Could Have Been: John Sullivan wrote the part of Danny Driscoll for Anthony Hopkins, who was eager to appear on the show, but filming clashed with The Silence of the Lambs and he therefore had to pull out.
• Written-In Infirmity: Patrick Murray really had a badly injured right arm after falling over his dog and through a pane of glass at his home. John Sullivan had to rewrite the original script to work Mickey's injuries into the story, even though Murray was in serious pain while filming his part.
• You Look Familiar: Jeff Stevenson, the stand up comic, also played P.C. Parker in "To Hull and Back".
