  • Lucas talks with Derek at lunch, and asks - since Peyton says he’s a huge music fan - if he’s going to attend the Lupe Fiasco show at Tric that evening. Lucas picks up on Derek mistakenly refering to Lupe as "them" rather than "him" but before he can get much of a response, Peyton interrupts and Derek takes the opportunity to leave.
  • Immediately following on from the above scene, Rachel "accidentally" drops some scantily clad photos of herself in front of Nathan, and proceeds to flirt with him over his new bike - though Nathan rebuffs her by bringing up Cooper.
  • Nathan finds Whitey trying to let the air out of the tires on his bike, who then lectures him about the dangers of the vehicle by bringing up athletes whose careers were negatively by motorcycle accidents.
  • Lucas shooting paper balls into a garbage can whilst waiting for Karen’s check-up, where he admits to missing basketball.
  • Karen, following her check-up, asks who she can speak to about Lucas’ heart condition.
  • Haley tries stop Nathan from driving off on his motorcycle. When he he tells her to come with him, Haley refuses and quickly makes the excuse that she doesn’t have a helmet, before Nathan drives off.
• Reality Subtext: The "Hometown Hotties" that Rachel takes part in for Maxim magazine during the episode was an actual photoshoot for the magazine that featured Danneel Harris, Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton.
