Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: Even aside from the show's premise of "No Research", there were several errors that have no effect on the fight, but affect the lore.
Natsu was listed as coming from Hunter × Hunter rather than Fairy Tail. This didn't take too long to fix, but it was still joked about anyways.
Guts and Kirito are both known as "The Black Swordsman". The episode switches it to "Black Knight".
Development Hell: No new episodes have came out since Aizen vs Madara, back in June 2019.
Sakuya vs Dio is actually over a minute long; the timer freezes when Sakuya and Dio uses their ability to stop time.
Deadpool vs. Deathstroke is the first time a DEATH BATTLE! was rematched in One Minute Melee. Considering that One Minute Melee claims to have no research done for the fights, it certainly helped Deathstroke's case.
Green Arrow vs. Hawkeye is the second time a Death Battle was rematched in One Minute Melee. The result here was inverted from DB's.
Hercule Satan vs. Dan Hibiki is the first time a One Minute Melee was rematched in Death Battle. Hercule wins both.
Lucario vs. Renamon is the second time a One Minute Melee was rematched in Death Battle. It was a draw in OMM, but in Death Battle, Lucario wins.
The battle between Vergil vs Sephiroth got another 2nd round which ended a draw. Later on Death Battle, it was revealed that there will be Vergil vs Sephiroth making it a 3rd round.
Just like Death Battle, several fighters have some similarities with one another:
Akuma and Kenpachi Zaraki are both powerful anti-heroes who live to fight, they usually hold back their power to avoid ending fights prematurely, and both go all-out when in a good fight.
Captain Falcon and Captain Commando have "Captain" as their title and fight using pyrokinetic and close-combat brawling abilities.
Kim Kaphwan and Juri Han are both Korean fighters who utilize Taekwondo in their fighting style. On the other hand, Kim has a strong sense of justice, while Juri is a psychopathic member of S.I.N.
Meta Knight and Zero are mysterious, experienced swordsmen who act as friends/rivals and mentors to the main characters of their own series.
Bowser and Dr. Eggman are the main villains of their respective series.
Deadpool and Deathstroke are both versatile, superhuman masked mercenaries.
Dante and Ragna are anti-heroes who have white hair, wear red coats, a complicated Cain and Abel relationship with their respective brothers, and wield giant blades.note Despite these similarities, the Ragna in the episode has blonde hair and a white coat to distinguish him from Dante.
Mewtwo and Freeza are white-and-purple psychic users.
Sakuya Izayoi and Dio Brando have time-stopping abilities.
Scorpion and Ghost Rider both have flaming skulls for heads, and are related to vengeance. (Scorpion wants to avenge his murdered wife and son, while Ghost Rider is a Spirit of Vengeance.)
Luffy and Naruto are a pirate and a ninja, respectively, two type of fighters often pitted against each other.
Wario and Knuckles are strength-based friends/rivals of the main heroes of their respective series. Both of them also treasure hunt in their spare time.
Ryu and Jin are martial artists who're normally stoic, but possess a Superpowered Evil Side.
Jotaro and Kenshiro are stoic anime protagionists who're known for being manly and their Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs fighting-styles.
Link and Sora are light-associated swordsmen.
Zoro and Kenshin are samurai-themed anime characters.
Baby Bonnie Hood and Peacock are violent young girls from fighting games who tend to use a lot of explosives.
Bowser Jr. and Metal Sonic are technology-using sidekicks to the main antagonists of their respective series.
Master Hand and Polygon Man are characters from different series treated as main antagonists in their own crossover fighting games.
Green Arrow and Hawkeye are both skilled archers and Badass Normal members of superhero teams from their respective universes.
