• Recycled Script: Much of the plot is lifted from the earlier Wang-yu film, One-Armed Swordsman. A righteous martial arts student lose his arm and had to train himself to be the best and avenge his defeat, learns how to become the best at his skills through a Dangerous Forbidden Technique, fell in love with the girl who saved him while he's unconscious with an arm missing, a Final Battle which the one-armed Handicapped Badass protagonist goes through a Boss Bonanza against the villains, and the hero's lack of an arm turns out to be crucial to assist him in achieving final victory.
