Trivia / Once Upon a Forest

Go To

  • Box Office Bomb: It grossed just $6.5 million against an estimated budget of $13 million. It came as little surprise, since it came out the week after the juggernaut that was Jurassic Park and couldn't compete at the box office.
  • Celebrity Voice Actor: Michael Crawford as Cornelius and Ben Vereen as Phineas the preacher wren.
  • Completely Different Title: The European French title is Le Voyage d'Edgar dans la forĂȘt magique (Edgar's Voyage in the Magical Forest). Why it focuses on Edgar in particular is anyone's guess (most likely due to the most memorable part, the climax in which the poor eponymous mole gets caught in a trap, but still), and the forest is not magical.
  • Deleted Role: Glenn Close originally had a role, but her scenes among others (totaling over 10 minutes) were cut for time.
  • Kids' Meal Toy: Long John Silver's released figures of Edgar, Russel, Abigail, Michelle, and Cornelius in 1993.
  • Working Title: The Endangered. It was changed into something Lighter and Softer.
