• Based on a Dream: Thunder Perfect Mind arose out of a dream David Tibet had in which he and Stapleton presented copies of a new album to each other with the shared title.
• Production Posse: producers and artists David Tibet (of Current 93 fame), Matthew Waldron (aka irr. app. (ext.)), Colin Potter, Andrew Liles and Peat Bog of The Inflatable Sideshow are Stapleton's main cohorts.
• Protection from Editors: When Stereolab asked Stapleton to remix some of their songs, he only agreed to do it on the condition that Stereolab couldn't even hear the remixes until they were commercially released. Stereolab agreed, and the remixes were released as the Crumb Duck EP.
