• Role Reprise: A 1993 episode had Clive Dunn once more playing Lance Corporal Jones, sixteen years after the end of Dad's Army.
• Troubled Production: In one instance, a live broadcast was derailed by an IRA bomb threat, forcing a rerun of a Christmas special; Noel then appeared in the Broom Cupboard (the BBC 1 continuity suite, used by Children's BBC and nicknamed as such by that block's hosts) to explain what happened and link into filler (that being Tom and Jerry).
