Trivia / No Game No Life

Go To

  • Acting for Two: In No Game No Life Zero, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka voices both Sora and Riku, with Scott Gibbs following up for the English dub. The same happens for Ai Kayano and Caitlynn French with Shiro and Schwvi, and Yōko Hikasa and Sara Ornelas as Steph and Corone.
  • Banned in China:
    • As of August 2020, the Australian Classification Board (ACB) has not allowed classification for volumes 1-2 and 9, effectively banning them. It was reported that the Centre Alliance had requested the ACB for an official classification. More details here.
    • China has not allowed the novels only, calling it a threat to Chinese society.
  • Defictionalization: The special edition Blu-ray comes with actual panties. Shiro's panties.
  • International Coproduction: The Latin American Spanish dub was done with voice actors from both Chile and Argentina, both neighboring countries. Also, this one of the few Latin American dubbing co-productions that doesn't involve either Mexicans or Hispanic voice actors from the U.S.
  • Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": The Latin American Spanish dub of the Zero movie is pretty egregious in this regard, as the TV series based in the film was never broadcasted dubbed in that region until 2020.note  The same happened in Brazil, where the Portuguese-dubbed movie debuted on Netflix without the TV series on December 2019. Two months later the Latin Spanish and Portuguese dubs of the TV series debuted on the platform alongside Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?.
  • No Dub for You: Ironically, the Portuguese language is one of the last languages alongside Latin Spanish to subvert this and get a dub for the anime, if you consider the origins of the series' creator, released in almost six years after the first broadcast of the anime.note
