- Dueling Dubs: There's technically two English dubs: One for the series itself which was made for English speaking feeds of Animax in Southeast Asia and the Media Blasters dub of the movie produced by the now defunct Animaze/Magnitude 8 Post in Los Angeles note , the latter one is more commonly available due to it being released on home video in North America.
- Cross-Dressing Voices: Rica Matsumoto voices the main character, Fuusuke, in the original Japanese and Mona Marshall note voices him in the English dub of the movie.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Footage of the English dub of the TV series has yet to resurface anywhere online.
- No Export for You: The manga was only (officially) translated into one other language, that being French, and the Anime was only dubbed into English and Indonesian.
- Production Posse: Much of the production crew of the anime previously worked on YuYu Hakusho and some of them later went on to work on Naruto and its sequel series, Boruto.
- Those Two Actors:
- Rica Matsumoto (Fuusuke) and Megumi Hayashibara (Rihoko) have worked together quite a few times, most notably on Pokémon where they voice Satoshi/Ash and Musashi/Jessie respectively.
- Ditto for Mona Marshall and Wendee Lee on the English side, they've been in many of the same shows, with Digimon Adventure and Love Hina being among the most notable.
