- Author's Saving Throw: A lot of people (especially parents) hated the series because Nina kept saying it would never happen again but it did. Later episodes would have her learn additional lessons that did stick.
- Beam Me Up, Scotty!: People think Nina says, "Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!" when she has to pee. She only says "Can't wait!" one time in the mall episode, not three consecutive times.
- Drawing Board Hiatus: The show had a 2-year hiatus between the second and third seasons to retool the show into one focused on manners from its' original toilet-training focus.
- No Export for You: As of this writing, the show has only been dubbed in eight languages other than English: Italian (to make matters worse, it's localized and has edits to the point where some episodes are only 30 seconds long), Korean (which aired the season 2 episodes months before their American and British premieres), Spanish, French, Greek, Polish, Russian and Japanese (which is the most recent dub, premiering three years after it aired in the US).
- Schedule Slip: One of the episodes of the ReTooled third season of, "To The Museum", used the old format of the show, with it being a leftover from the second season that aired two years later. This is likely because they already had an episode about a museum, or that this was the original idea for said season 2 episode.
