• Alan Smithee: There's some dispute as to who actually directed most (or all) of the film. Depending on who you ask, Umberto Lenzi directed the entire movie, but insisted his name be taken off the film and credit given to Kirkpatrick, Kirkpatrick handled the primary filming but kept Lenzi on as a consultant, or somewhere in between. Lenzi himself espouses the middle view, insisting that "Welcome to Spring Break is the work of Harry Kirkpatrick."
