• Dawson Casting: In the book which the film is adapted from, Max Sand is 16 when his parents are killed. In the film he is played by Steve McQueen (actor), who was 35. It is quite odd to see him impersonating a naive teenager who has never drunk alcohol, and who cannot play poker.
