Trivia / My Parents Are Aliens

• Cancellation: After Series 7 concluded "Phase 1", Series 8 started "Phase 2" only to end up as the last season due to the show being cancelled.
• Edited for Syndication: For broadcast on the CITV Channel, the episodes are edited so there are no ad breaks in the middle of a show. Despite this, small (some rude) pieces of episodes are cut out. They aren't important to the story, but the fact they've been edited out is painfully obvious at times, especially to those who seen the episodes when they first aired.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Only the first season has been released on VHS. A "Best of" DVD was released in 2006, featuring only 6 episodes.
  • The first 6 complete seasons (out of 8 total) were later released as a boxset in Spain only.
  • The first six seasons have since been added to the Britbox streaming service.
• Dawson Casting: Sources differ as to when exactly Keith Warwick was born but, if the date The Other Wiki gives is indeed true, he would have been in his mid-to-late twenties when he played the teenage Trent.
• The Other Darrin:
  • Carla Mendonca replaced Barbara Durkin as Sophie. According to Tony Gardener (Brian), he said that "The actress didn't want to do it." The recasting was explained in the show's universe as Sophie having issues morphing, with her eventually morphing into Mendonca and being unable to change back.
  • Tanya Thomas, despite being human, was played by three different actresses over the course of the show's run.
  • Santa Claus is portrayed by a different actor in "First Christmas" and "The Naughty List".
• Written by Cast Member: Tony Gardener wrote the episodes "Oh Brian!" and "Chip Ahoy".
