• Accidental Downer Ending: Season 2 ends in a cliffhanger, with Ethan, Benny, Sarah, and Jesse seemingly getting caught in an explosion that took out the season's Big Bad. With the show's cancellation after Season 2, it's unlikely that there will ever be an official resolution to this series.
• Audience Participation: The official website had a Fighting Web Game called Humans vs. Vampires, where you picked a side and battled against opponents on the other team. The ending of the following season was to be determined by whichever team got the more wins; if the human side won, the season was to end with a Happy Ending, but if the vampire side won, the bad guys would've won. The human side ended up winning, but the show's cancellation made it all a moot point.
