Trivia / Music Complete

Go To

  • Bad Export for You: Releases of the CD version outside the UK use regular clear polycarbonate for the disc instead of black. The end result diminishes the visual effect provided by the contrast between an all-black disc, an all-white tray, and a full-color cover.
  • Channel Hop: This was the first New Order album to be released by Mute Records and the first since 1989's Technique to be released on an independent label. The group has maintained a connection to Warner Music Group, as Mute is distributed by WMG's Alternative Distribution Alliance.
  • Promoted Fanboy: Goes both ways with this album:
    • Iggy Pop had been a major influence on the members of New Order since their days as Joy Division; he ends up providing vocals on "Stray Dog".
    • The Killers were directly inspired by New Order, even taking their name from the Fake Band in the "Crystal" music video. Frontman Brandon Flowers not only got to co-write "Superheated", but also duets with Bernard Sumner on it.
  • Sequel Gap: While it came out just two years after Lost Sirens, Music Complete represents the band's first album of original material since Waiting for the Sirens' Call a full decade prior (Lost Sirens was an archival release).
