• Creator Breakdown: According to Word of God, the reason why not a single issue of The Winter War has been released for years to the extent it has been considered an Orphaned Series was due to him stopping full-time to take care of his ill mother. However, he has noted that he is still working on it.
• Orphaned Series: The Black Axe ended in 2013, and several years later there still isn't even one issue of The Winter War or Spring 1153. It is not without a good reason.
• What Could Have Been: The movie, cancelled by Disney (which had just acquired 20th Century Fox, who had greenlit the film) shortly before production was to start. After it was announced to be dead, multiple members of the staff did things like releasing old drafts of scripts, Concept Art, and even a concept trailer made in Unreal Engine 4, all of which made the movie out to be a great epic, not to mention the various actors slated for the film included the likes of Idris Elba, Jack Whitehall, Andy Serkis, and more. The movie was shopped around to other studios, but none were interested.
