- Development Hell: Morning Star has had a long history of rewrites to say the least. The current version underwent several redesigns from where ideas were scrapped or replaced. In one version Joker was the son of Toudou Naoya from Persona and in another his Persona was Mephistopheles.
- Inspiration for the Work: Along with Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, NoRoleModels lists The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Punisher MAX, Angel Heart, Berserk, Spawn, and Joker (2019) as major influences for the story.
