• Creator-Driven Successor: Gorman's current show, Terms and Conditions Apply is similar to Modern Life, but without the Found Poem section and with a Panel Game aspect added on.
• Trolling Creator: Dave Gorman's routine is heavily based around pulling various practical jokes and schemes, sometimes on the audience in the studio, and even on the viewers at home. Perhaps the pinnacle of this is S2E4, "Poogle", where he claims to have discovered a mysterious, unmarked QR code on a bus shelter that when scanned shows you a picture of where you live, and leaves the QR code up for viewers at home to try out... This is, of course, all a trick - the audience member he had try out the QR code was set up, and the QR code led only to a picture of her house at the time of recording, but by the time of broadcast they replaced it with a website that tricked viewers into thinking they had just bought two expensive lawnmowers and a pack of cookies. He points out, when he reveals what he has done, that the studio audience is laughing at a joke that hasn't happened yet!
