• Acting for Two: In the MS IGLOO 2 finale, both the female tank driver Arleen and the Shinigami are both voiced by Kikuko Inoue.
• Fountain of Expies: Char Aznable is shown earning his nickname in his red Zaku at Loum in the first episode of Hidden One Year War.
  • And later in episode 3, Amuro Ray shows us just how feared the Gundam is, though only briefly in a video.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Before Rightstuf re-released the series in 2017, finding an authentic English DVD set was near-impossible. Most fans were under the impression that the series fell under No Export for You.
• Role Reprise: Gihren Zabi and Kycilia Zabi are voiced by their original actors.
