• Executive Meddling: Pat Mills quit early, mostly due to payment issues, but also because he thought he was working on a gory horror comic, and IPC saw it as a suspenseful mystery comic, where anything gruesome happened off-panel and the final scene was of something about to happen. For instance Mills wrote a story called "The Banana King" in which a girl was killed by a venomous spider deliberately planted in a box of bananas. In the published story "Red Knee ... White Terror!", there is no "Banana King" deliberately planting spiders, and the strip ends with the girl realising the spider is fake, unaware that there's also a real one.
