• Deleted Scene: A scene from the leaked script shows Audrey, still affected by Ms. Sans-Collette's power, berating André following his decision to resign as mayor of Paris. The two then get into an argument, which ends with André standing up to Audrey, ending their toxic marriage, and taking custody of Zoé, while leaving Chloé in her custody. Why this scene was cut from the final episode remains unknown, although it's possible that the dubiousness of how André could possibly have legal custody over Zoé (whom he shares no blood ties with and presumably already has a biological father who shares custody with Audrey) was a factor. It's also possible that André deciding to leave Chloé with Audrey, essentially disowning her, might've come off as too harsh, even in spite of all that she's done. Maturity and time constraints may've also been factors.
  • Zoé's legal status is a slightly tricky question. Audrey was living in New York when she was born. Under NY state law the husband is the presumptive legal father when a married woman gives birth. Zoé does use the name "Lee", but unless Mr. Lee made a formal declaration of paternity he has no legal rights or obligations as her father and NY (and any other American jurisdiction) would recognize André as her father. The fact that they're in France further complicates things, since French law may differ. Given Audrey's apparent indifference to Zoé's mere existence she might very well be happy to palm the girl off on André whatever the law says.
